The Senior Manager, Procurement Firehouse sits within RBI’s Global Procurement organization and plays a critical role in managing high-value procurement categories across Firehouse Subs and supporting cross-brand initiatives across Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs. This role reports directly to the Director, Procurement Firehouse and partners closely with the Global Procurement team across brands. The successful candidate will operate in a multi-brand QSR platform environment where franchise economics, supply chain resilience, and ownership of execution are paramount. Position Summary The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for managing high-value procurement categories and developing sourcing strategies that align with business goals. This role drives cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and supply chain resilience while supporting brand and business priorities. The position works closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain, as well as franchisees and external partners, to deliver innovative solutions and enhance restaurant-level profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations, with demonstrated category management ownership.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, should-cost analysis, and data-driven procurement decision-making.
  • Strong experience leading end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes and multi-round supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and franchisee audiences.
  • Advanced Technical proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude); financial modeling and analytics (Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL preferred).

  • Direct experience working within a franchise business model (influencing without direct control, understanding franchisee P&L dynamics).
  • Familiarity with distributor management, food safety/quality systems, and FSMA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with cross-functional or multi-business-unit procurement in a hybrid-centralized model.

Responsibilities

  • Category Management & Strategy Manage procurement categories with annual spends up to $500M across direct and indirect spend, including: Food & Packaging, Restaurant Services, Freight, FX, OEM, and tertiary restaurant products.
  • Develop and execute category-specific procurement strategies incorporating risk mitigation, cost-saving initiatives, and dual/multi-source resilience planning.
  • Translate market intelligence into business risks: monitor market dynamics, assess business risks, recommend hedges/FX in coordination with finance Lead cross-brand sourcing opportunities where category overlap exists across Firehouse Subs, Burger King, Tim Hortons, and Popeyes.
  • Supplier Management & Distributor Oversight Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, distributors, and service providers; measure performance via scorecards and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct negotiations for purchase prices, contracts, and MSAs to maximize value while maintaining supply continuity.
  • Lead RFP/RFQ/RFI processes end-to-end, from specification development through award recommendation and supplier onboarding.
  • Ensure alignment with cross-functional peers, fostering progressive, inclusive, and fair supplier partnerships.
  • Analytics & Financial Modeling Conduct detailed financial analyses and develop cost models (should-cost, TCO) to evaluate deals and determine viability and profitability impact.
  • Monitor category spend, supply chain trends, and cost-saving opportunities to provide actionable insights to stakeholders and franchisees.
  • Build and maintain savings trackers; validate realized savings against forecasted targets and report to Finance for sign-off.
  • Leverage spend analytics platforms and BI tools to identify tail spend, maverick spend, and consolidation opportunities.
  • Franchisee & Stakeholder Communication Translate procurement decisions into clear franchisee impact communications, including cost changes, supplier transitions, and new product introductions.
  • Present sourcing strategies, savings results, and supply chain updates to franchisee advisory councils, brand leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Operations and Marketing to support menu innovation, LTO launches, and promotional programs from a supply chain readiness perspective.
  • Coach and influence internal stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) while managing multiple key projects.
  • Project Leadership & Sustainability Lead cross-functional teams to support product innovation, market testing, new vendor onboarding, contract renewals, and end-of-life supplier transitions.
  • Support sustainability and ESG reporting commitments including responsible sourcing trackers (e.g., Palm Oil, Cage-Free Eggs, Sow Housing, Fiber/PFAS packaging).
  • Manage supplier quality escalation processes (SCARs) in coordination with QA and Food Safety teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and standard operating procedures.
