About The Position

1. Responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives 2. Responsible for managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center (FC). 3. Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the fulfillment center to meet and exceed business plan. 4. Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. 5. Establish and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. 6. Leverage the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. 7. Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the distribution networks. 8. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. 9. Manage and lead operations and salaried workforce/team of area managers to correct quality defects and effect process efficiencies to improve customer experience for Global Supply Chain Fulfillment/Distribution operations. 10. Perform deep-dive analysis of complex data collected from the processes of the operations such as how orders are taken and processed, to the items available for selection and how these items are shipped and reach the customer, and continually innovate and optimize the processes for cost reduction and operation efficiency

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
  • 1 year of experience in cross-functional coordination experience across different business units and experience conducting qualitative/quantitative data analysis to support business decision making and cross-functional initiatives.
  • 1 year of experience in management experience (Salaried workforce or program management) in a global supply chain, manufacturing, production/procurement, distribution, logistics or related environment/operations
