About The Position

The Sr Manager, Operations Innovation works on high-priority COO initiatives in collaboration with senior operating leaders at DaVita Healthcare Partners. Topics may include operationalizing growth strategies across Kidney Care, International, Healthcare Partners and DaVita Strategic Business Units; large-scale operating model changes to drive efficiencies and prepare for healthcare reform; integrated care business model development; introducing and incubating disruptive medical technologies; commercializing a portfolio of assets; and business unit-specific operations strategy.

The Senior Manager leads a team with management consulting, investment banking and clinical experience, manages individual work streams, and communicates recommendations to business unit leads and senior executives. The role involves working closely with teammates in clinics and building long-standing relationships with operators and clinicians. Travel of 10%–25% may be required.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of total work experience in progressive roles.
• Experience leading large-scale business transformation teams with tangible impact on operating or financial performance.

Nice To Haves

• 2–4 years of post-graduate experience in management consulting, investment banking or a corporate strategy role.
• MBA from a top-tier business school or a graduate degree in a healthcare-related field such as MD, MPH or MHA.
• Healthcare background.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate first-principles thinking when analyzing problems and engaging with teammates.
• Use a hypothesis-based approach to identify, validate and quantify opportunities.
• Develop and improve credible, pragmatic analytical approaches and frameworks.
• Use continuous improvement tools, including Lean, Six Sigma and PDCA, to structure and incubate improvement opportunities.
• Build complex models and conduct financial planning and analyses to assess effects on business metrics.
• Present findings as a cohesive story, summarizing analytical insights and building appropriate horizontal and vertical logic in presentation decks.
• Present comfortably and compellingly to senior audiences.
• Work closely with teammates in clinics and develop long-standing relationships with operators and clinicians.
• Lead a team, manage individual work streams, and communicate recommendations to business unit leads and senior executives.
