About The Position

Welcome to the Fun! As the Senior Manager of Operational Finance, you will be a key partner to the business, owning key parts of the P&L from a budgeting, forecasting, & analysis standpoint. You will partner with other departments such as F&B, Ops, & Special Events to provide timely data that facilitates great discussion and business decisions. You will understand field performance, key drivers of results, and speak to variances. You will also identify opportunities to improve financial process and implement change. You need to be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and cross-functional partnering skills. Attention to detail and the ability to solve ad-hoc questions are key! The detailed responsibilities below will align with Dave & Buster’s or Main Event field operations!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a field operations or multi-unit restaurant / retail organization.
  • Experience partnering with and measuring sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Hyperion) is a plus.
  • Experience with dashboard systems (Power BI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial planning processes for field operations.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and KPI to provide insights and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business initiatives.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for field operations.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, work with business partners to provide explanations.
  • Work closely with operational teams to develop accurate budget projections.
  • Ensure field teams are completing necessary budgeting and forecasting responsibilities timely.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Lead and mentor other finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports for field operations to senior management.
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, and trends to relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as needed for decision-making purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Implement best practices and streamline financial workflows.
  • Drive initiatives to automate manual processes where applicable.
