If so, the Standard Missile 6 AND Standard Missile 2 programs are seeking a Senior Manager to support our Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Programs/Obsolescence efforts. The Sr. Manager position is a deputy Program Manager position in the program office offering an exciting opportunity to work on a vital program that delivers cutting-edge missile defense capabilities. Reporting to the NSMS Obsolescence Associate Director, this role provides broad exposure, leadership opportunities, and the chance to collaborate with key stakeholders across engineering, production, supply chain, and our customers. You will be at the forefront of obsolescence monitoring and mitigation efforts, driving proactive solutions to reduce risks and ensure successful program execution. Your contribution will be instrumental in achieving our mission-critical goals to support AUR production contracts and deliver products to the warfighter. We are looking for professionals with varied skills and experience who are ready to take on this challenge and bring fresh, innovative perspectives to our team. As the deputy Program Manager, you would manage P&L across multiple contracts and a variety of contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FFP) and numerous IDIQ Task Orders (TOs). This is an onsite position at our Tucson, AZ facility.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Prior program and project management experience
  • PM4 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Prior experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar program/platform
  • Prior experience with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Prior experience with proposal development and contract negotiation
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Current Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with obsolescence mitigation/DMSMS programs
  • Background in managing large government programs or defense-related efforts
  • Experience with the Missile Defense Agency, customer community and acquisition experience
  • Program management experience on efforts inserting hardware changes into an active production line
  • Background in hardware development for DoW product applications
  • Prior experience on high visibility program execution (production or development)

Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal development, Submit Gate reviews, and contract negotiations
  • Manage program baselining and Startup Gate reviews and approvals
  • Oversee multiple hardware replacement efforts across various contracts, driving efficiency while minimizing execution risk
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, contracts, engineering, supply chain, and operations
  • Develop and execute program status reviews with SM-6 and SM-2 leadership
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the customer IWS obsolescence team and other government stakeholders
  • Oversee schedule of multiple Obsolescence re-design activities
