About The Position

As an Avionics Obsolescence Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing and integrating missile systems. We’re looking for avionics engineer who can use their skills to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review ( SETR ) process in support of complex control systems. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform Mission Systems requirements to improve missile performance. Our team supports Mission Systems in working with OEMs to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms. That’s why we need you, an avionics engineer well versed in control systems, to help us design and develop future technologies within the avionics discipline. You’ll work with existing teams to understand the current challenges and work with OEMs to redesign, develop, and integrate upgrades to improve the warfighters' competitive edge. You will assist in augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance. Requirements

  • Experience in avionics or obsolescence
  • Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern Navy avionics systems
  • Experience with the SETR acquisition process
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
  • Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques
  • Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs improve performance and integration ease
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in an Engineering or Science field
