The Sr. Manager, NAM Retail Sales will be responsible for managing retail sales on Amazon in the U.S. and Canada, across core categories including toys, apparel, accessories, home and consumables working with both internal and external partners, across an extensive brand portfolio. A strong background in eCommerce licensed retail account management is preferred, along with experience in developing and implementing a strategic plan model that delivers sustained growth and long-term value for The Walt Disney Company. Position will be a key stakeholder across the DCP RBC, BC, Category, PD and Creative teams, and will report to the Director, NAM Retail Sales.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years working in consumer product brand sales
  • Established experience in retail sales, brand, and retail marketing strategies, preferably within mass channel
  • Understanding of interchangeable business models, such as Direct to Retail and licensed
  • Experience across multiple categories
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship building skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, flexible/adaptable, extremely collaborative, and able to influence and persuade at all levels of an organization.
  • Innovative, capable of working independently and managing a variety of initiatives/issues simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business and financial concepts.
  • Skilled computer literacy - Keynote, Excel, Word, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong background in eCommerce licensed retail account management is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of brand-first strategies that drive long-term growth in assigned categories, including Softlines, Hardlines, Consumables and Entertainment.
  • Drive annual retailer planning, pitch development, and presentations aligned to Category and Brand strategic objectives and retailer needs
  • Meet and/or exceed financial goals set for assigned brands and categories across licensed and DTR models.
  • Manage all licensed and DTR initiatives in assigned categories, developing, and leveraging best-in-class buyer and licensing relationships to meet/exceed revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Lead strategic implementation of all key brand initiatives across licensing partners to achieve optimal support, driving strong sell-through performance that aligns with retailer strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute evergreen franchise programs that provide 365-support, while activating against key content and brand marketing moments for fan and cultural relevance
  • Key team stakeholders in the development of cross-category placement and feature space opportunities with team peers.
  • Leverage consumer, shopper, and category insights to Identify key strategies by brand and by channel that deliver against TWDC strategic initiatives.
  • Identify market-share and white space opportunities for existing brands, categories, and consumer segments, across new IP, content events and evergreen brands.
  • Implement strategies with alignment across merchants and respective licensing suppliers.
  • Partner with Retail Marketing team, BC, and National Marketing to develop and implement impactful retail marketing plans that deliver sell-through & ROI objectives for strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal synergy partners to develop cohesive retail programs and unique opportunities.
  • Build and leverage strong team-oriented relationships with DCP Category, PD and Creative teams to ensure strategic alignment by brand, category, and initiative to meet financial objectives.
  • Initiate, develop and specific product line initiatives for the licensed categories.
  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned categories to include annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting.
  • Develop 5-year strategic plan, annually, by category, channel and franchise, and determine key objectives and priorities.
  • Analyze and understand retail and consumer trends in the industry, specifically for relevant categories.
  • Effectively manage travel and expenses to budget.
  • Collaborate with DCP global markets to share best practices and implement global programs with Amazon.
  • Leverage knowledge of eCommerce best practices to inform and educate licensed partners on go to market strategies that deliver YOY business growth.
  • Provide leadership and management through mentorship on performance, daily responsibilities, and strategic growth initiatives.
