Sr. Manager, Marketing Events

Vantor•Westminster, CO
•$124,000 - $181,500•Remote

About The Position

Vantor is evolving its marketing organization from separate business-unit teams into a more globally connected corporate function under Vice President of Marketing Lisa Om. The Sr. Manager of Events will play a key role in shaping how that new model comes to life in the market, building a more strategic, coordinated, and customer-focused approach to events across the enterprise. The mandate extends well beyond event logistics. As Vantor establishes its identity as a software-driven spatial intelligence company, this leader will use live experiences to elevate the company’s presence, deepen engagement with customers and partners, and ensure that event investments are aligned with broader commercial and marketing priorities. The Sr. Manager will help determine where Vantor should show up, why it should be there, what experience it should create, and how success should be measured. This includes bringing greater discipline to event selection and investment while continuing to support the needs of Vantor’s U.S. Government, International Government, and Enterprise businesses. The role combines enterprise-level visibility with the opportunity to help shape how a newly integrated marketing organization operates across regions and business units. It therefore calls for an executive-polished leader who can represent Vantor in consequential settings, align diverse stakeholders, and still bring the hands-on operating mentality required to execute successfully.

Requirements

  • Deep events expertise and a sustained commitment to the discipline, reflecting a leader who sees events as a strategic business capability rather than simply an executional marketing activity.
  • Experience developing and managing sophisticated event programs within government, defense, intelligence, aerospace, technology, or comparably demanding B2B environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about an event portfolio, including event selection, audience prioritization, investment decisions, customer engagement, and measurement.
  • Significant experience partnering directly with senior executives and other high-profile stakeholders in settings where expectations and organizational visibility are high.
  • Strong executive presence and polish, paired with the humility and operating range to move seamlessly from senior-level engagement to hands-on execution.
  • Demonstrated command of event measurement and the commercial fluency to connect investment and audience engagement to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Experience working across Sales, Business Development, Product, Marketing, and Communications to create integrated event strategies and experiences.
  • Background in complex B2B technology, ideally geospatial intelligence, defense technology, aerospace, Earth observation, software, data, or an adjacent deep-tech market.
  • Ability to understand sophisticated technology and mission use cases and translate them into compelling experiences for government, commercial, and partner audiences.
  • Experience operating across geographically distributed organizations and supporting both domestic and international events is preferred.
  • Holds the function accountable for meaningful outcomes, establishes clear expectations, and adjusts quickly when investments or approaches are not producing the desired results.
  • Starts with the audience, grounding decisions in what customers, partners, and decision-makers need to experience rather than internal precedent or organizational convenience.
  • Has the judgment to differentiate between events that meaningfully advance Vantor’s priorities and those that create activity without sufficient strategic or commercial return.
  • Sets direction and raises the standard for the function while remaining willing to work personally in the details and step in when high-stakes moments require it.
  • Builds trust across a globally distributed organization and aligns Marketing, Communications, Sales, Business Development, Product, and business-unit stakeholders around shared objectives.
  • Can hold the room with senior executives, government leaders, customers, and partners while translating complex spatial-intelligence capabilities into clear and compelling language.
  • Comfortable creating structure where it does not yet exist, improving processes as the organization evolves, and operating successfully in an environment where priorities may shift quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate is energized by the intersection of advanced technology, customer engagement, and high-impact live experiences. This individual will bring the judgment, curiosity, and adaptability to shape how a spatial intelligence business presents itself in a rapidly evolving market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Vantor’s enterprise event strategy, helping determine where the company should invest its time, resources, and presence based on customer relevance, strategic importance, market visibility, and commercial opportunity.

  • Partner across Marketing, Product, Communications, and the business units to continuously elevate the Vantor experience at conferences, trade shows, customer engagements, and other live environments. Ensure the company’s technology, solutions, and broader spatial intelligence story are presented in a compelling and differentiated way.
  • Work closely with Communications, PR, Product Marketing, Sales, and Business Development to ensure event strategy, messaging, media opportunities, executive engagement, customer outreach, and follow-up efforts reinforce one another.
  • Strengthen the operating model, capabilities, standards, and accountability of the events function while supporting the varied priorities of Vantor’s global businesses.
  • Establish a more disciplined approach to event planning by grounding each investment in a clear audience, business objective, and desired outcome. Develop post-event review practices that help Vantor continuously refine its portfolio and investment decisions.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and reporting that connect event activity with customer engagement, pipeline development, relationship progression, market visibility, and other relevant business outcomes.
  • Help establish priorities across the event portfolio and ensure investments are being made thoughtfully and strategically, with appropriate consideration of business impact and return.
