About The Position

Energy Transfer is seeking a Maintenance Manager responsible for the maintenance of our marine terminal in Houston, Texas (ETHT). This role requires knowledge of docks, tanks, rotating equipment, piping, rail racks, and truck racks. The position reports to the facility Director and plays a critical role in the leadership team at ETHT. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing leadership in Safety, Environmental, and reliability for the facility's maintenance and contract workforce. This includes being a team member of the ETHT Operations/Maintenance management staff, attending and participating in all relevant Safety meetings and activities, and supporting HES training activities, policies, and procedures. The role also involves supporting various field and system audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies, and being a member of the Incident Command Structure at ETHT. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of all ETHT maintenance activities, including oversight of supervisors, schedulers/planners, maintenance staff, and contract personnel. This includes reviewing and managing overtime, ensuring overdue items are addressed in the weekly schedule, and providing guidance to resolve operational problems. The role requires close collaboration with other departments to maintain efficient operations and maintenance practices, ensuring equipment reliability and workforce efficiency. The Maintenance Manager will actively create and oversee maintenance capital, expense projects, and O&M budgets, including budget re-forecasting. Recommendations for operational improvements will be made through the submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process. Additionally, the role involves managing ETHT Fleet vehicles and specialty equipment, including "Telematics" for all facility vehicle tracking, and maintaining a routine presence in the field for both in-house and contractor work.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Refinery Maintenance, Pipeline Maintenance, Liquid Terminal Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment required for petroleum operations.
  • Prior management experience. (Supervisor, Superintendent, Manager, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal, Team, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to comply with and enforce Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient with applicable software applications.
  • Must possess knowledge and maintenance of industrial equipment. This includes but is not limited to electrical systems, air compressors, pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, marine docks, tanks, rail and truck racks.
  • Must possess knowledge of DOT regulations including Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance experience with tanks, piping and pumps.
  • Marine/dock experience.
  • Rail and Truck Rack maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in Safety, Environmental and reliability for the facility Maintenance and contract workforce.
