The Opportunity Our Diabetes Care division currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Human Resources in Alameda, California. We’re looking for a strategic business partner who can drive business success by developing and implementing HR strategies and solutions in collaboration with leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR business partner experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business acumen and interpersonal savvy to influence senior business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships and leading processes with business partners and HR colleagues based in different locations.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing a workforce/talent strategy to achieve differentiated business outcomes.
  • Experience deploying priorities across multiple locations (across multiple countries and cultures is highly desirable).
  • Has matrix management skill; the ability to collaborate across a broad HR function to deliver results by defining resource requirements and pulling from support functions.
  • Project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Excellent analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Successful candidate must demonstrate and value differences in others’ strengths, perspectives, and approaches.

  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs.
  • Advanced change management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Builds trust-based, collaborative, sustainable relationships with executives, managers, and customer groups.
  • Analyzes internal and external data and trends to assess organizational effectiveness, diagnose, develop, and deliver HR strategies, programs, and services that drive the needs of the business.
  • Collaborates closely with HR practice centers/centers of excellence to implement business-specific programs that drive a culture of performance, engagement, accountability, and employee growth.
  • Coaches senior leaders and their leadership teams to ensure the appropriate level of focus is placed on assessing talent capabilities and taking action to engage, develop, and retain talent.
  • Supports senior leaders in effectively deploying performance management and reward processes/practices to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results and ensure retention of top performers.
  • Partners with the business on workforce planning, including assessing short-term and long-term resource needs, identifying critical talent gaps within the organization, and developing strategies to address.
  • Works independently and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and corporate procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintains positive communications and collaboration with all levels of employees.
