About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Global Distribution Network Strategy plays a critical role in shaping the long‑term design and optimization of DePuy Synthes’ global distribution and warehousing network. This role partners closely with supply chain, operations, finance, and business leadership to evaluate network scenarios, drive data‑based strategic decisions, and ensure the network is positioned to support growth, resilience, and cost competitiveness. The role offers high visibility, strategic impact, and the opportunity to influence enterprise‑level decisions during a period of transformation and growth. This role is part of Johnson & Johnson's plan to separate its Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. If hired, it is anticipated that following the conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field).
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, operations strategy, or network design roles.
  • Demonstrated experience developing global distribution or supply network strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a regulated, complex, or global operating environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate complex trade‑offs.
  • English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience supporting capital investment planning or large‑scale network transformations.
  • Familiarity with advanced network modeling tools and scenario planning methodologies.
  • Experience working in matrixed, global organizations.
  • Demonstrated people leadership or indirect team leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global distribution and warehousing network strategy initiatives, including footprint design, capacity planning, and make/buy analyses.
  • Develop and evaluate long‑term network scenarios to support business growth, product innovation, and regional market needs.
  • Partner cross functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, and Commercial teams to align network strategy with business priorities.
  • Build financial and operational models to assess cost, service, risk, and investment trade‑offs across the global network.
  • Support strategic capital investment planning and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization in network strategy tools, analytics, and decision‑making processes.
  • Monitor external trends (market demand, geopolitical risk, supply disruptions) and assess implications for the global network.
  • Prepare clear, executive‑level materials and recommendations for governance forums and leadership reviews.
