Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Related field or equivalent technical experience in lieu of degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years Experience in Project Management within a matrixed organization required.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
  • Dependable, detail oriented, able to think creatively under pressure and work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read and write, speak in front of groups, express and exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures.
  • Successful customer interaction experience.
  • SAP and MS Project experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities.
  • Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents.
  • Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgments.
  • Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems.
  • Able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Preferred.
  • Previous experience in Project Management oriented role with a focus on new product development, technology and system implementations preferred.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and process documents.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance.
  • Preferred knowledge of industry standards and trends.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups and employees in the organization.
  • Ability to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • 5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and oversee the project management activities which may include internal and external partners and technical discussions.
  • Proactively lead projects ensuring New Products are supported through Development and as commercialization begins – ensure Operational needs (SCM, Production, Quality, etc.) are all aligned within the production site.
  • Ensure deliverables of the PDP are met, and operational metrics are achieved for each NPD.
  • Build and maintain critical path, milestones, and overall program timeline and budget.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Lead project team meetings and follow up on open action items, seeing them through to completion.
  • Create and maintain project documentation to communicate progress.
  • Own and communicate documentation and training efforts of key projects to enterprise.
  • Stays current with advancements in related technology and standards applying for this industry.
  • Initiate project change alerts in the case of delays, changes in scope, or deliverables and communicate risk to the project.
  • Facilitate post-program or task reviews as appropriate to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Champion and enable the use of PMO/PDP tools within West.
  • Foster and encourage shared learnings across projects/ programs.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
