About The Position
The Senior Finance Manager, Product & Client Engagement, is a key member of the Insurance Finance Decision Support team and serves as a strategic finance partner to Product and Client Engagement leadership. The role provides financial insight, constructive challenge, and decision support to drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and investment decisions. The position leads a team of three finance professionals and requires strong business acumen, analytical capability, executive communication, and the ability to influence across the organization. The Insurance Finance Decision Support team provides financial insights and decision support for Insurance’s strategic objectives through business partnership, reporting, financial metrics, and actionable insights. The role is hybrid from the company’s Alpharetta, Georgia offices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant finance experience, including demonstrated people leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and analytical capabilities, including experience supporting revenue, expense, staffing, and capital planning.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with and influence senior business leaders across functions and organizational levels.
- Strong executive communication skills and ability to distill complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity, with ability to understand product, client, commercial, and operational drivers.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning and reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and ability to identify opportunities for process, reporting, and data improvements.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player committed to developing others and delivering results.
Nice To Haves
- MBA and/or CPA, CMA, or CFA.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Dodeca.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Finance Decision Support team, establishing priorities and accountability and fostering initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary Finance Decision Support partner to Product and Client Engagement leadership, providing insight and constructive challenge for revenue growth, profitability, and strategic decisions.
- Develop understanding of product, client, and commercial economics and translate business and market drivers into actionable financial insights and recommendations.
- Lead and provide analytical support for strategic business planning, forecasts, budgets, and other planning processes, including assessing risks and opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, investments, pricing, and commercial initiatives through financial analysis and business cases.
- Analyze revenue, product, client, and profitability performance to identify trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve results.
- Translate financial, operational, and commercial performance into clear insights and recommendations that influence strategic and tactical decisions.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business cases, investments, costs, returns, and scenarios that support growth and resource allocation.
- Identify emerging performance issues, work with business leaders to understand root causes, and develop actions to improve performance.
- Develop and implement financial reporting and process improvements to enhance visibility, efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, data, and processes; help determine causes of data or system inaccuracies and recommend solutions.
- Communicate complex financial and operational information clearly and concisely to senior leadership, translating analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Influence and mentor Finance team members and contribute to collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong business partnership.
