About The Position

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Manager, Finance, located in Raynham, Massachusetts. The Senior Manager, Finance (HR) serves as a strategic finance partner to Human Resources leadership, providing financial insight, governance, and decision support for workforce‑related investments and operating plans. This role plays a critical part in shaping people strategy by translating HR initiatives into clear financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with business priorities, compliance requirements, and long‑range financial goals. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise‑level decisions during a period of transformation and growth at DePuy Synthes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Typically requires 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, including financial planning and analysis and business partnership.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Knowledge of financial controls, compliance standards, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights.
  • English (business proficiency).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
  • Experience supporting HR, workforce planning, or people‑related cost structures.
  • Experience in a matrixed, global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR leadership to provide financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support across workforce and talent initiatives.
  • Lead development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and long‑range plans related to headcount, compensation, benefits, and HR programs.
  • Analyze financial impacts of organizational design, workforce changes, and transformation initiatives, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Drive transparency and rigor in HR financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, fostering a high‑performing and inclusive team culture.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, HR, and business leaders to support enterprise initiatives and continuous improvement.
