About The Position

Verano is experiencing exponential growth, and we are looking to add to our Finance team. The Sr. Manager, Finance – Business Operations is responsible for manufacturing inventory methodology, valuation, movements, and corporate product costing. The role consolidates and evaluates direct materials, WIP, and Finished Goods across Verano. This multi-faceted position serves as a key business partner that requires business partnership with several departments: operations, supply chain, IT and finance. Attention to detail, curiosity, system/Excel expertise and an ownership mindset are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in accounting or finance required
  • 5+ years of related experience in financial operations required
  • Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), and PowerPoint experience required
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations required
  • Strong ability to influence appropriate operational counterparts to timely closeout duties
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to company locations

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation is a plus
  • Direct experience in CPG or manufacturing (inventory experience) is a plus
  • SAP platform experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory processes from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Prepare monthly operations review presentations for senior leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting methods and procedures.
  • Advise and influence business partners to identify lowest cost, highest growth opportunities.
  • Track and analyze labor and headcount associated with facilities.
  • Perform cost model analytics for inflationary cost increases and pricing margin erosion.
  • Plan, collect, and analyze data to drive costing initiatives.
  • Provide production support in complex environments.
  • Analyze product profitability and overhead for the product mix.
  • Drive adherence to company policies and procedures in operations.
  • Continuously search for opportunities for operational efficiency and simplification.
  • Deploy new processes and procedures to improve efficiencies across the organization.
  • Assist in the assessment of systems requirements for ERP implementation.
  • Optimize existing manual processes to leverage SAP.
  • Build partnerships with key business partners to create transparency and drive operational excellence.
  • Identify financial improvement opportunities and collaborate with operations on execution.
  • Drive annual physical inventory counts.
  • Perform monthly analysis on aged, excess, and obsolescence inventory.
  • Analyze and implement financial visibility into inventory movements, purchasing, procurement, consumption rates, and logistics.
  • Create, maintain, and standardize bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Manage various cost streams such as purchase orders and inventory across national production sites.
  • Create, manage, monitor and deliver KPIs and recommendations nationwide.
  • Perform financial oversight of the Goods received and Invoiced received (GR/IR) process to collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations Warehouse departments validating goods are ordered, received, and paid timely (3-way match).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
