About The Position

The Sr. Manager Executive Protection Agent is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to routine, but which may include complex management problems with respect to the protection and safeguarding of personnel, information, and other assets, in the areas of threat assessment; workplace violence; threat investigations; executive protection; travel safety; business intelligence and safety and security related awareness and training.

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working within the fields of Executive Protection, Threat Assessment and Management, Security Operations, and/or Security Investigations of a Federal Law Enforcement agency, Local Police Department, or Corporate Security environment, or related fields.
  • Extensive threat assessment training and skills.
  • Developed and strong program management skills/experience.
  • Developed and strong project management skills/experience.
  • Ability to multi-task, coordinate and manage a volume of varied day to day operational issues/tasks and escalations in addition to case and program management.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship-building and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/stakeholders including senior management.
  • Ability to persuade, influence, and build trust with a broad spectrum of constituents across all levels.
  • Ability to effectively solicit, engage and manage key stakeholders and partners (internal and external).
  • Ability to effectively and professionally represent oneself in interactions with Executive Staff and their support teams.
  • Operates with strong integrity and the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Ability to generate and apply creative and innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate simultaneously as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
  • Ability to identify and manage safety and security related contractor/vendor service relationships to include associated budgets.
  • Developed and strong technical skills which allow for liaising with Information Technology to implement technical solutions specific to safety and security needs.
  • Knowledge of and strong experience with managing highly visible investigations/incidents/issues
  • Knowledge of and experience with managing workplace violence and related highly sensitive cases/incidents/issues.
  • Proven track record of aligning and allocating resources to drive optimal delivery.
  • Effective and strong communication skills.
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving, and critical / creative thinking skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Highly motivated to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability and willingness to be available 24/7 as needed.
  • Position requires agents be trained and proficient as a Medical First Responder within 6 months of initial hire date.
  • Position requires agents be trained and proficient in the use of a concealed handgun and posses a current authorization to carry a concealed weapon under HR 218 [Law Enforcement Officers Safety ACT (LEOSA) of 2004.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects related to safety and security, ensuring alignment with business trends.
  • Participate in problem resolution and provide expert guidance on safety and security issues.
  • Develop methods and procedures for new safety initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and security measures.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement global process improvements in safety and security.
  • Serve as a critical member of a team that provides physical protection to ensure the safety and security of designated corporate executives, or others as assigned.
  • Collect, analyze and conduct threat analysis and initiates actions to protect personnel, information and property.
  • Assist in the coordination of security activities for routine events.
  • Support tactical and operational security for special events.
  • Conduct security advances and logistical support for events, venues and travel activities.
  • Safeguard individuals and properties from all forms of security and safety hazards.
  • Coordinate with PayPal management as needed to prepare, update and execute emergency procedures and training (fire, bomb threat, active shooter, trespassers, surveillance detection, etc.) for principals and designated employees.
  • Drive designated principals as needed.
  • Oversee the security of executive residence, as directed to include coordinating escorts for deliveries and vendors.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with respect to any sensitive information pertaining to personnel, physical protection means and methods, and company information.
  • Interact in a professional manner with company team members, external security personnel or other external individuals and members of law enforcement.
  • Foster an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity, dedication and professionalism.
  • Effectively leads small-scale teams and delegates among team members.
  • Align and allocate resources to drive optimal delivery.
  • Establish realistic short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Provide assistance to other teams within Global Safety & Security as required.
