About The Position

The Sr. Manager of Environmental Health & Safety develops and implements day-to-day health, safety, and environmental functions for Jushi’s grower processing and retail facilities in Virginia. The role supports senior management in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements; develops and maintains safety and environmental SOPs; and helps establish an autonomous EHS culture through employee engagement and participation. The position also promotes health and wellness programs, enforces EHS procedures, leads training initiatives, and advances risk identification and reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
• Five years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Travel throughout Virginia.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety, security, and GMP guidelines.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner.
• Must pass a drug and criminal background check.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Develop health and safety procedures for Virginia.
• Inspect facilities with local teams to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Develop inspection policies and procedures and implement a schedule of routine inspections.
• Prepare and schedule training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
• Draft reports documenting inspection findings.
• Ensure safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible.
• Maintain required records of hazardous waste and pollutant discharges or employee exposure.
• Develop and maintain KPIs for monitoring operational efficiency of manufacturing programs and employees.
• Hire, train, and hold team members accountable to company health and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, cGMP, and other applicable worker safety regulations and governing requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
