About The Position

Provides strategic technical oversight and leadership for complex DoD ammunition production programs. This role ensures end‑to‑end technical excellence across business capture, production support, ballistic test validation, continuous improvement initiatives, and design and development activities. The Sr. Manager is accountable for delivering compliant, on‑schedule products while resolving technical challenges to maintain safety, quality, and all contractual requirements. In addition, this position delivers advanced technical support for high‑visibility program efforts by developing, applying, and guiding the use of sophisticated engineering theories, methodologies, and research techniques. Manages professional employees and/or supervisors. Must have at least one professional expert or one supervisor as a direct report. Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology or Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems as well as improving and maintaining current systems or creating brand new projects.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
  • Recommends operational plans with direct impact on results.
  • Constructing and presenting status briefings on technical challenges.
  • Works with third party resources, site leadership and other necessary departments to bring comprehensive solutions for operations, production, or maintenance issues related to local production or test failures.
