About The Position

The Senior DC Operations Manager will lead a group of operations and facilities managers to ensure all operational targets are met while continually adjusting and adapting to the changing job priorities. Balancing workloads between all warehouse departments is necessary in maximizing workflow, to meet customer commitments and deadlines, establishing building goals are important. In partnership with the building Director and peers, preparation for the multiple business cycles throughout the year is a primary responsibility. This is a growth role allowing the Senior Operations Manager to lead the facility when the Director is not on-site. This is an on-site position based in our Solon, OH Distribution Center. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
  • 6+ years of senior leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience maintaining budget and targeted expenses by reviewing monthly P & L, Capex Expenditures and approving invoicing; driving continuous improvement to exceed budgeted P &L metrics
  • Experience in managing teams and people; to include performance management, fostering continuous learning, growth and development and creating succession plans to build depth on the bench
  • Experience in managing staffing and hitting targeted goals, working with partners on effective recruitment strategies
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in working with third party labor partners and co-employment
  • Proven ability to focus on quality and accuracy – minimizing product damage
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Must be a critical thinker who can analyze data and problem solve
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt while making operational decisions
  • Proficient in using a warehouse management system (WMS) – as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Furniture or other big-ticket experience
  • Mathematical and analytical aptitude
  • Required to stand and walk 80% of the time to oversee the business

Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements through data-driven decision making.
  • Support business needs through flexible scheduling, including weekends/holidays.
