Meet the team: Dexcom is seeking a compliance leader to serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders for the North America region. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Compliance, this role will lead the North America compliance team and partner cross-functionally with commercial, medical/clinical, regulatory, legal, and HR teams to uphold Dexcom’s ethical standards and regulatory obligations. The ideal candidate combines deep subject matter expertise in healthcare compliance with a practical, business-oriented mindset and collaborative working style. Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in healthcare compliance, legal, or related function within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries
  • Deep working knowledge of AKS, FCA, FCPA, Stark Law, PPSA/CMS Open Payments, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Canada, and OIG/DOJ guidance.
  • Experience of acting as a trusted advisor to sales, marketing, commercial operations, medical affairs, and other cross-functional leaders.
  • Commitment to teamwork and maintaining strong relationships and lines of communication with business partners and other key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent decision-making skills, practical business judgement, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of industry experience
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare compliance certification (CHC, CCEP) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the Corporate Compliance Program for the North America region, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Serve as a trusted compliance advisor and act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing pragmatic, risk-based guidance on commercial and operational initiatives.
  • Advise on key compliance areas including interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), engagement models and market access strategies.
  • Manage periodic compliance risk assessments to identify, prioritize, and mitigate key risks.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and implement practical, scalable controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage processes related to HCP consulting arrangements, speaker programs, grants, and sponsorships, samples, etc.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of U.S. transparency reporting (Open Payments), ensuring accurate capture, validation, and submission of reportable HCP transfers of value.
  • Develop and deliver targeted compliance training tailored to business needs and risk areas.
  • Manage internal compliance investigations for the region and ensure appropriate documentation, remediation, and escalation consistent with company policy.
