Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements | Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data | Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost | Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes | May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements. Manages professional employees and/or supervisors. Must have at least one professional expert or one supervisor as a direct report. Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with functional leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization's continuous improvement initiative.
  • Manages the work of a team that evaluates existing processes and identifies opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement.
  • Develops and monitors the implementation of process changes meant to result in cost or waste reduction, productivity improvement, customer satisfaction, and profitability increases.
  • Tracks progress against established goals.
  • Recommends changes that may impact floor layout, material flow, or machinery selection and use.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
