About The Position

Coty is seeking a Senior Manager, Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) dedicated exclusively to the US Consumer Beauty business across makeup, nail and fragrance. This role will bring together consumer, client, market, channel, e-commerce, digital and commercial data to shape brand, category, portfolio, innovation and go-to-market decisions through an integrated view of what consumers are doing, why they are doing it, and what the business should do next. The Senior Manager will serve as a key strategic and operating partner to the U.S. Consumer Beauty CMI, SRM and Data Analytics leadership, helping lead the Consumer Beauty team agenda, raise the quality of consistency of analytical storytelling, and ensure priority business questions are answered with speed, rigor and commercial relevance. This role will directly lead the CMI and Data Analytics Manager, while partnering closely with US leadership, brand and commercial teams, and global CMI, Data, Digital, and Analytical Colleagues. This role requires Leadership and ownership, Strategic insight, advanced analytical judgement with highly developed listening & influencing skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable with forming an independent, fact-based point of view, challenging existing thinking constructively, and translating complex information into simple recommendations that drive growth for the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Excellence in internal collaborative influencing, with the ability to build trust, align priorities, and bring senior leaders, brand teams, commercial partners, and global colleagues along in a matrixed organization.
  • Significant experience in Consumer & Market Insights, data analytics, commercial insights, brand strategy, business intelligence, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated people leadership and talent development experience, including the ability to establish priorities, coach for stronger thinking, and raise the quality of team output.
  • Strong experience integrating consumer research with market, channel, e-commerce, digital, social, performance, and commercial data to answer business questions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Highly developed analytical storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, fact-based recommendations.
  • Experience leading business intelligence, reporting, dashboard, or analytics capabilities, including familiarity with visualization and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, brands, stakeholders, and business needs in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Beauty, fragrance and cosmetics, fashion, or another premium consumer-driven industry.
  • Experience partnering with functions such as Consumer Beauty Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Finance, Commercial Planning, Brand Management, or Category Strategy.
  • Local U.S. Consumer Beauty market experience combined with success working in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Exposure to data integration, automation, advanced analytics, forecasting, consumer segmentation, portfolio analytics, or emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Strong capabilities in innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and building new tools or ways of working from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic and operational partner to the U.S. Consumer Beauty Business Intelligence leader, helping shape priorities and identify opportunities across brands, categories, consumers, clients, retailers, and channels.
  • Bring together consumer and client research, market measurement, e-commerce, digital, social, financial, and commercial information to create a complete and decision-ready view of the business.
  • Translate complex findings into compelling stories, clear recommendations, and practical actions for senior leadership and cross-functional business partners.
  • Partner with local and global teams to ensure U.S. consumer and market realities inform brand strategy, innovation, portfolio choices, audience priorities, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Lead or support strategic learning initiatives that strengthen understanding of Beauty consumers, emerging behaviors, category dynamics, and future growth opportunities.
  • Lead the U.S. Consumer Beauty CMI reporting and analytics agenda, ensuring performance is evaluated consistently across brands, categories, channels, and the broader portfolio.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of recurring market, category, brand, consumer, client, and commercial reporting, ensuring outputs move beyond reporting results to explain what is changing, why it matters, and what actions should follow.
  • Lead the continued development and adoption of centralized dashboards, self-service reporting, and repeatable analytical frameworks that improve access to information, speed of decision-making, and consistency across the organization.
  • Guide the Data Analytics Manager in developing and maintaining high-quality business intelligence and reporting solutions, including data integration, quality controls, automation, documentation, and user adoption.
  • Translate business questions into clear analytical requirements and ensure outputs are commercially relevant, easy to understand, and connected to business decisions rather than delivered as data alone.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, reduce duplication, improve processes, and introduce scalable ways of working that allow the team to focus more time on strategic analysis and guidance.
  • Stay current on evolving analytics, research, reporting, and technology capabilities, recommending approaches that can strengthen decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
  • Help coordinate priorities, workflow, and resources across Consumer Beauty CMI and Data Analytics to ensure work is connected, insights are consistent, and the team can respond effectively to changing business needs.
  • Build trusted partnerships across senior leaders, brand and commercial teams, direct reports, and global colleagues, with a strong emphasis on collaborative influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Manage designated research, analytics, data, and vendor relationships and budgets, ensuring investments remain aligned with the most important business priorities and deliver meaningful value.
  • Champion continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, capability building, and best-in-class execution across the Consumer Beauty CMI and analytics organization.
