About The Position

The Senior Manager, Community Impact will play a pivotal role as part of Dayforce's high-performing Sustainability and Impact department. In this role, you will join a small but mighty team of seasoned professionals leading Dayforce's expanding global community impact efforts. You will help shape and execute purpose-driven strategies that make work life better for our colleagues while strengthening the communities we serve. This role is ideal for a strategic and operational leader who can translate a bold and ambitious vision into reality. This includes the ability to build scalable programs, manage complex global initiatives, and inspire others to engage in meaningful action. You will bring a strong blend of subject matter expertise, program leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical rigor, while helping Dayforce be a force for good around the world. The overall Community Impact program should meet the high expectations of internal and external stakeholders and align with Dayforce's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in community impact, nonprofit leadership, or a related role or field.
  • Deep and wide-ranging expertise in community impact strategies and employee engagement in the private sector.
  • Proven ability to design, build, launch, and scale programs that align organizational values with business goals and deliver measurable impact.
  • Strong program and project management capabilities, with the ability to lead multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and deliver against tight timelines.
  • Experience participating in quantitative and metrics-based program performance evaluation and goalsetting.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to compare data sets, organize data, summarize findings, and use insights to improve strategy.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on achieving, tracking, and measuring results.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while balancing multiple objectives and keeping key stakeholders aligned on broader goals.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable operating in dynamic or ambiguous environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in communication, follow-up, documentation, and operational execution.
  • Experience with managing budgets, financial processes, and expense responsibilities accurately.
  • Familiarity with corporate responsibility, employee engagement, and community impact best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze, visualize, and communicate data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Dayforce’s giving and volunteering strategy by successfully building and managing the company’s employee giving and volunteering programs, events, and communications
  • Develop and maintain a Community Impact calendar that tracks key programs, campaigns, events, holidays, milestones, and business moments.
  • Lead and execute Dayforce's Impact Month and other signature programs and initiatives, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve and expand our global Community Impact programming.
  • Build and scale a new global grantmaking program that aligns with Dayforce’s Makes Work Life Better mission.
  • Build and scale a new global skills-based volunteering program that aligns with our company’s mission and successfully leverages the subject-matter expertise of Daymakers in key departments.
  • Coach and manage a broad network of employee volunteers and other internal champions, fostering a culture of engagement, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executives and other key internal stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and collaborator.
  • Manage Community Impact’s relationships and operational responsibilities with key external partners and vendors
  • Track, measure, and regularly report on performance against KPIs and targets, using data and insights to identify gaps, refine strategy, and improve outcomes.
  • Support budget management, reconciliation, expense tracking, and related financial processes with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Proactively monitor emerging issues, trends, and best practices in community impact, employee engagement, and nonprofit operations, integrating relevant insights into program design and execution.
  • Initiate and coordinate Community Impact responses to natural disasters, crisis situations, and other urgent moments where support for Daymakers and communities is needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, HR, Health and Safety, and other relevant teams.
  • Represent the Community Impact function in strategic planning discussions and help communicate progress, priorities, and opportunities clearly to a range of audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Provide advanced support and guidance for strategic and special projects and take on other community impact initiatives as required.
