About The Position

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager plays a critical role in driving profitable growth within Aspire Bakeries’ Foodservice division. This position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and other cross‑functional teams to optimize customer profitability, lead pricing strategy, and provide high‑quality financial insights that support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate excels at financial analysis, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. This role requires working 7:00 am - 3:00 pm PST to support EST and CST teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field, preferably Finance.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Pricing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Foodservice or food manufacturing industry background preferred.
  • ERP/SAP experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer‑level pricing and trade spend to ensure profitable account performance by analyzing pricing, margin and profitability.
  • Oversee customer promotional programs and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Evaluate and approve new customer contract requests to ensure they align with growth and profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to identify revenue and margin‑enhancing opportunities.
  • Co‑manage sales budgets and support account teams with financial insights that drive growth.
  • Provide Profit & Loss (P&L) to Sales partners for assigned customer accounts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to inform pricing and strategic direction.
  • Develop a strong understanding of food manufacturing and distribution costs to support operational decisions.
  • Lead or support special projects aimed at improving gross profit, optimizing processes, or enhancing competitive positioning—even when projects extend beyond traditional finance responsibilities.
  • Provide ad‑hoc analyses and reporting to support key business needs.
