About The Position

The Senior Manager, CBS Owned Stations Security is an individual contributor responsible for the security posture of Paramount's fifteen CBS owned and operated television stations. This role sits within the Global Security Operations organization and reports to the VP, Global Security Operations, with a dotted line to the President, Stations and Digital, CBS News and Stations to keep security priorities aligned with station leadership and day to day operations. The Senior Manager aligns station level security programs with enterprise Global Security standards, oversees the security vendors supporting station operations, and coordinates training that protects station employees, contractors, and on air talent. This role partners with Crisis Management and Environmental Health and Safety on preparedness, personal protective equipment, and training, and serves as the field level point of contact for security matters affecting the station group. This role requires approximately seventy percent travel across the station group. When not traveling, this is an office based position and is not a hybrid role; the employee is required to be in the office five days a week, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Eight or more years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or media security
  • Experience overseeing contracted security vendors, including guard force management
  • Experience developing and delivering security training programs
  • Working knowledge of crisis management and emergency preparedness principles
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to travel approximately seventy percent of the time, including on short notice
  • Ability to operate autonomously across multiple sites with minimal direct oversight
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines, which may include nights and weekends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Align security programs, standards, and protocols across all fifteen CBS owned and operated stations with enterprise Global Security policy
  • Conduct site level security assessments and drive remediation of identified gaps in coordination with station management
  • Serve as the field level security point of contact for station general managers and news directors
  • Maintain a regular working cadence with CBS News Leadership to keep them informed of security priorities, risk exposure, and program changes
  • Oversee contracted security vendors supporting the station group, including guard force staffing, post orders, and day to day performance
  • Manage vendor onboarding, scheduling, and invoice reconciliation across the fifteen stations
  • Monitor vendor compliance with service level agreements and escalate performance issues to the VP, Global Security Operations
  • Oversee and audit security related purchase orders and invoices
  • Coordinate and ensure the delivery of world class security training for station employees, including workplace violence prevention, active assailant response, field safety, and travel safety
  • Partner with HR and station leadership to embed security training into new hire onboarding
  • Maintain training records and completion tracking across the station group
  • Partner with Crisis Management on station level emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response protocols
  • Partner with Environmental Health and Safety on personal protective equipment programs, hazard assessments, and preparedness training relevant to security incidents
  • Support coordinated response to incidents affecting station personnel, facilities, or on air talent
  • Responsible for the safety and security of all personnel across the station group, including employees, contractors, and on air talent
  • Coordinate protective measures for on air talent and all employees during field assignments, remote broadcasts, and high profile coverage
  • Provide security guidance for coverage of high risk or high profile events at the station level
  • Provide regular reporting to the VP, Global Security Operations on station security posture, vendor performance, and training completion
  • Identify recurring risk trends across the station group and recommend program improvements
  • Support after action reviews following security incidents at the station level
