About The Position

Restaurant Brands International Inc. RBI owns iconic brands such as TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. The Sr. Manager, Development Execution plays a crucial role in expanding the Tim Hortons US brand by fostering development agreements with new and existing partners. This involves identifying and cultivating potential partners, structuring and negotiating multi-year development agreements, and leading financial and operational due diligence. The role also includes creating marketing materials for investor pitches and sourcing potential franchisees. The Tim Hortons US Sr. Manager, Business Development is responsible for identifying and vetting prospective franchisees, managing a robust pipeline of prospects, and negotiating development agreements to achieve significant new development signings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in business development, corporate finance, franchising, or a related field
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in excel
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to collect a variety of data and structure pitch to potential franchisee partners
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership, with a strong drive to contribute to team success

Responsibilities

  • Identify and conduct thorough due diligence on perspective franchisees; manage relationships through deal lifecycle until closing
  • Lead pipeline management, negotiation, and execution of development agreements with high quality franchise partners
  • Actively market the growth opportunities to attract top-tier franchise candidates and drive brand growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with Development, Market Planning, Franchising and Field teams to gather necessary insights to drive negotiations
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and executive level leadership on bi-weekly or monthly cadence
  • Collaborate with business leaders to define and execute long-terms development and expansion strategy for the Tim Hortons brand
  • Plan and host quarterly Discovery Days to onboard recently signed franchisees
