About The Position

The Sr Manager- Brand Activation & Engagement leads the strategy and execution of brand partnerships, activations, and engagement initiatives that drive brand awareness, consideration, lead generation, and customer conversion. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated, market‑relevant execution aligned with overall brand strategy. The Sr Manager oversees a geographically dispersed team, agencies, and strategic partners responsible for planning, delivering, and optimizing brand activations and local market engagement programs, ensuring measurable impact and consistent brand execution. This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS Telecom operates but with a preference to reside in our Wisconsin, Utah, Montana or Idaho markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • 7+ years of marketing, sales, or product management experience.
  • 4+ years of management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience managing remote teams, including performance measurement and data-driven reporting.
  • Experience in strategic planning, marketing operations, analytics, or communications within a complex, matrixed organization preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex initiatives or programs in a collaborative, results‑driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Leads teams responsible for creating and implementing sponsorships, forming strategic partnerships, fostering community engagement, organizing grassroots events , and multi-market brand activations. Ensure initiatives align with marketing objectives, remain within budget, and generate quantifiable outcomes.
  • Partners with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, timelines, and deliverables. Leads vendor and agency Request for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiate contracts and statements of work in collaboration with procurement and legal, ensuring brand and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish standard operating procedures that support efficient and consistent execution of brand activation and engagement programs. Ensures processes, tools, and resources are utilized in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and best practices, while maintaining optimal effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze performance data, trends, and insights to evaluate effectiveness, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Create clear documentation, presentations, and reporting that communicate strategies, progress, risks, outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
