About The Position

Primergy is seeking a Sr. Manager, Asset Management to join our Asset Management Team and report to our Vice President, Asset Management. This person will play a critical role in optimizing the performance and profitability of our solar and BESS energy projects, while leading strategic improvement efforts across the Asset Management function at Primergy. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in renewable energy systems, asset management, leadership, and proven track record of success in the renewable energy industry. The Sr. Manager, Asset Management will have direct oversite and responsibility for a portfolio of assets. This will include the financial, commercial, and regulatory compliance, reporting and performance of the portfolio. The position is a people management role and will oversee asset management and regulatory compliance functions.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or a related field. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in renewable energy as an asset manager.
  • Experience leading people.
  • Experience understanding performance shortfalls and communicating to onsite teams for resolution.
  • Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, etc. reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of operational contracts and regulatory filings to comply with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Management of technical contract scopes and partnerships with third-party providers.
  • Individuals with more significant experience may be considered at the Director level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all deliverables under material project documents and relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets for renewable energy projects, including operational and maintenance expenses.
  • Track and report expenses and revenue and work with the broader team on performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with industry regulations, permits, and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports on asset performance and financial metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize asset performance, revenue, and risk through active management of commercial, operational, and financial activities.
  • Interface with Energy Management to optimize merchant exposure, hedging strategies, and participation in capacity and ancillary services markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, investors, lenders, utilities, offtakers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor and develop junior asset management staff; establish best practices, processes, and performance standards across the portfolio.
  • Work in conjunction with Performance Engineering team to drive continuous improvement in asset management systems, data analytics, and digital tools to enhance decision-making and portfolio visibility.
  • Oversee all project contracts including with third-party service providers.
  • Work across internal teams in development of new projects.
  • Onboarding new projects from construction to commercial operation to include coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and external consultants.
