As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Manager, Application Development is a professional responsible for managing multiple development projects, development groups and application support functions for a major line of business. The role applies professional knowledge to oversee the development, testing and implementation of organization-wide systems, directing, motivating and developing staff to maximize their individual contribution and function effectively as a team. The Senior Manager, Application Development leads a team to manage resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure 'best practice' development techniques. Additionally, the role works with the business in the development, testing and implementation of application programs that help promote business improvement. Requirements

  • Hands-on Senior Development Manager experience, leading a team building innovative solutions, utilizing cutting edge technologies.
  • Adept at Design Solutioning.
  • At least 8 years experience with Python, LLM, AI/ML, NLP, SQL DB, and Microservices.
  • 3 years of experience with Generative AI/LLM.
  • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards.
