Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science or related quantitative field or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing managers and engineering teams
  • Solid experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Azure Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/OpenShift/AKS, CI/CD and DevOps practices, Event-driven architectures, Relational and NoSQL databases, Application observability and monitoring

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI-powered development and productivity tools
  • Knowledge of GenAI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, Vector Databases, AI governance and responsible AI practices
  • Exposure to Azure AI services, OpenAI, or enterprise AI platforms

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Lead architecture decisions for cloud-native applications, APIs, event-driven systems, and data platforms
  • Drive modernization initiatives including application transformation, cloud migration, and platform simplification
  • Establish engineering standards covering design, coding, testing, security, resiliency, and observability
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML and Generative AI, for business applicability
  • Promote adoption of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, coding agents, automated testing, code quality analysis)
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple products, applications, or portfolios
  • Drive Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Accountable for application availability, reliability, performance, and supportability
