We are looking for a strong and technically grounded Sr. Manager of Accounting to join Reformation's finance team at an exciting stage of our growth. Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on inventory and cost accounting, including some people leadership experience
  • CPA required or actively pursuing
  • Solid understanding of inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis in a retail, apparel, e-commerce, or CPG environment
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition in a multi-channel retail environment
  • Exposure to or experience within a public company reporting environment a strong plus
  • Strong ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel proficiency including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced functions
  • Clear communicator who can translate accounting detail into actionable insight for the teams around them
  • Self-motivated and solutions-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and in-transit inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and capitalization of landed costs
  • Support standard costing methodology, variance analysis, and cost integrity across product categories
  • Manage the Allowance for Inventory Reserve process and maintain strong controls around obsolescence and inventory aging
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Planning, and DC Operations to ensure financial accuracy and operational insight
  • Own or support the revenue and receivables month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and analyses to ensure appropriate revenue recognition and financial statement accuracy
  • Oversee accounting across multiple revenue streams including DTC, wholesale, and e-commerce, ensuring compliance with ASC 606
  • Monitor and accurately capture evolving business activity in the financial statements as the business grows
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses across general accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Support the design and implementation of scalable processes and internal controls that strengthen the close and compliance environment
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors facilitating inventory and revenue related testing
  • Stay current on changes in accounting standards and flag their impact on the business
  • Lead and develop a small team, building habits of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong working relationships with adjacent teams including Supply Chain, Customer Love, Tech, Wholesale, and Finance
  • Support senior accounting leadership with financial results, reporting requests, and ad hoc analysis
