About The Position

This role focuses on developing and implementing reimbursement strategies and programs to ensure product coverage across various lines of business and benefits. The position involves providing expert advice on reimbursement matters to internal teams and external stakeholders, addressing customer concerns, and evaluating the economic impact of therapies on payers. Additionally, the role includes educating sales teams, healthcare professionals, and customers on reimbursement and pricing, and proactively identifying opportunities to increase product utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences or healthcare discipline
  • 7+ years' pharmaceutical industry experience in reimbursement or case management
  • Strong understanding of relevant market reimbursement policy
  • A proven track record of successful account management and executing national strategies.
  • Experience in billing/coding for Medical and drug benefit.
  • Experience in vaccine reimbursement

  • AAPC coding courses/ or equivalent a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and implementation of reimbursement strategies and programs to ensure coverage across all lines of business and benefits.
  • Provides reimbursement-related advice to product development teams, marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Leads in addressing customer concerns related to coverage and cost recovery, developing plans to address in season and removing barriers to utilization for potential new customers.
  • Works closely with policy, sales and medical staff to evaluate the economic impact of the use of therapies/products on payers, including the government.
  • Provide education on reimbursement/pricing to Sales, HCPs and customers.
  • Proactively identifies payer opportunities and implements programs to help increase utilization.
