Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and 6 months of Maintenance experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 2 years of Maintenance experience

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical expertise in manufacturing equipment, process systems maintenance, and CIP/SIP systems, including complex troubleshooting and equipment optimization.
  • Experience supporting GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environments with strong knowledge of compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues, including motors, drives, sensors, and low-voltage systems.
  • Advanced ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic manufacturing equipment and technologies, including filling systems, washers, autoclaves, isolators, robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and associated cleaning and sterilization processes.
  • Experience driving equipment reliability through root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS systems for work order management, maintenance planning, spare parts control, and maintenance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance, automation, and manufacturing systems; PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance activities, mentor technicians, coordinate equipment downtime, and support equipment upgrades, commissioning, and special projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Validation, and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex maintenance activities, ensure equipment reliability, and mentor peers to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Inspect, maintain, test, and repair equipment and systems with minimum supervision.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and perform real-time visual inspections and troubleshooting in accordance with SOPs, equipment manuals, and technical guides.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, perform root cause analysis (e.g., Five Whys), and effectively resolve issues.
  • Consult technical manuals, system data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., F&E, Safety, Quality, Manufacturing) and vendors to ensure safe and effective problem resolution.
  • Escalate issues as needed and document recurring solutions to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of SOPs, cGMPs, ALCOA+ principles, and industry standards while adhering to all safety and documentation requirements.
  • Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and system updates accurately and within required timelines.
  • Support and train Maintenance Technicians on routine maintenance activities and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Share technical expertise and best practices to strengthen team capability and operational readiness.
  • Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations across shifts and teams.
  • Prioritize assigned work based on production impact, due dates, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate work progress, barriers, and expected completion timelines to peers, supervisors, and cross-functional partners through appropriate communication channels (e.g., Teams, email, meetings).
  • Manage time effectively, escalate concerns when necessary, and maintain accountability for assigned tasks and commitments.
