About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Technician – Electrical is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant electrical, instrumentation, utility, WWT, and process control equipment. This role supports the successful execution of ISO/QMS, EFfCI, and RCMS standards and performs electrical (and some mechanical) maintenance functions across plant facilities and equipment in a 24-hour operating environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year site-specific electrical experience, OR Four years construction or maintenance-related experience, including:
  • At least 1 year of industrial electrical maintenance experience, AND
  • At least 1 year of industrial instrumentation experience (controllers; flow meter, pressure, level calibration; and VFDs)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical failures and work safely with minimal direct supervision.
  • Sound judgment and ability to recognize unusual conditions.
  • Ability to use computers, telephone, PA systems, radios, and cell phones.
  • Ability to write legibly and accurately document work.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, modify, monitor, calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot plant electrical, instrumentation, and process control equipment.
  • Perform electrical maintenance including repairing, installing, and wiring electrical circuits and systems, installing conduit/wiring, and diagnosing failures using electrical test equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop sheets, and drawings.
  • Calibrate process instrumentation, including controllers, flow meter, pressure, and level measurement calibration, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with process control equipment and systems, including furnace and boiler combustion systems.
  • Support plant improvement team initiatives.
  • Participate in company-provided and on-the-job training to build technical competency.
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping (e.g., organizing tools, cleaning shop/work areas, wiping down equipment, sweeping/shoveling as needed).
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership; document work in work orders, forms, and computer systems.
  • Support maintenance responsibilities for PSM-covered equipment and processes, including safety interlocks and protective devices.
  • Maintain reliable attendance; available for overtime and callout as needed.
