This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you can expect your day to day to include being responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination including leading and directing maintenance technicians.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses.
  • Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.
  • 3 plus years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.
  • Elementary computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.
  • 1 to 5 trips per year.
  • This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • No more than 4 attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy OR no more than 6 attendance points for locations on a 14 point policy
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment.
  • Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel.
  • Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving new and or different technical problems regarding equipment.
  • Obtains quotes for project work and prepares written project justifications.
  • Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
  • Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
  • Maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management Standards.
  • Skill development of team members.
  • High Pressure Boiler Compressed Air System Hot Water Generation and HVAC systems management and maintenance.
  • Coordinate Team Member schedules handling time and attendance records holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned.
