About The Position

Monitors and maintains documents of all aircraft/aircraft component/SE scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Plans and coordinates all maintenance inspections (special, conditional, etc.). Dispatches and monitors all assigned tasks and associated jobs to work centers. Expert working knowledge of NALCOMIS and VIDSMAFs. Monitors the NALCOMIS system to report all work performed. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports in support of aircraft equipment long range maintenance planning and operational requirements. Ensures completion of Aeronautical Equipment Service Records (AESRs) as well as outstanding maintenance actions. Ensures all required maintenance has been performed before component release ready for issue. Briefs the USG on equipment status and contract requirements. Complies with all current sections of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1 Series and CNAFINST 4790.2 Series as applicable to aircraft/aeronautical equipment/SE maintenance. Maintains records in support of aircraft/aeronautical equipment/SE maintenance. Verification of all maintenance action documentation completion prior to submission to the Navy, working closely with Navy Logs and Records to ensure timely submission of 3M data and required log book entries. Correction and re-submission of all Naval generated reports by 3M data system. Responsible for equipment configuration, working with various civil service work centers with systems checks as required. Ensures work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all safety rules and regulations are observed. Works with other personnel groups to resolve problems. Will instruct and assist in training of lower-level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties. Performs related duties as assigned including any and all duties of lower-rated technical personnel within their classification. Assists other shops/skills as required. Provides direction of Contractor work center supervisors on assigned tasks with ability to monitor all duties of the applicable classification. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Expert working knowledge of NALCOMIS and VIDSMAFs.
• Demonstrated maintenance knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in: CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and NAVAIR Instruction 3710.1(series) requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge in: Monitoring, documentation of maintenance, planning of schedule and unscheduled maintenance and inspections, required reports and Navy Logs and Records (i.e., 3M, VIDMAFs, aircraft/aeronautical equipment/SE maintenance), mission configuration, safety, work center coordination, HAZMAT, training/licenses/certifications, scheduling, etc.
• NALCOMIS system (utilization, monitoring, reporting, etc.)
• A minimum of 5 (five) years of I and/or D-level Navy/USMC aircraft/aeronautical systems/SE maintenance experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of DON military aviation maintenance production control management in the last ten (10) years.
• NEC-8800 Aviation Maintenance/Production Chief (E-7, E-8 or E-9) or USMC equivalency.
• Graduate from military A and C schools or civilian training.
• Demonstrated managerial and administrative skills, and effective communications skills to lead Tyonek's effort in meeting the contract requirements.
• Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in various computer programs required (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• The Secret Clearance process will include requesting a credit history.
