About The Position

Air Wisconsin Airlines is seeking a Maintenance Controller to join their SOC in Appleton, WI. This role is central to the airline's technical operations, requiring a strong understanding of aircraft systems, mechanical experience, and good judgment to ensure aircraft are safe, airworthy, and available for flight operations efficiently. The Maintenance Controller also acts as the primary company contact for aircraft servicing matters. The starting pay for this position is $75,000 annually.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office software.
  • Strong communication skills (Phone, email, in person).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high stress environment.
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and meet all federal contract qualification standards.
  • Must satisfy applicable TSA/federal aviation security requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in aviation management, engineering, or maintenance. (Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.)
  • 2-4 years of maintenance experience in a FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operation.
  • Previous Maintenance Control Experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • CRJ-200 experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safe and airworthy aircraft are available for scheduled flight operations.
  • Directing contingency maintenance activity during flight operations.
  • Utilizing both company and non-company maintenance personnel to provide required maintenance services.
  • Interfacing with Dispatch, Flight Operations, and Crew Services groups to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Coordinating and tracking line maintenance scheduling and workload planning.
  • Administering and controlling the use of aircraft Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL).
  • Preparing Special Flight Permits (Maintenance Ferry Flights).
  • Creating and maintaining operational reports.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
