About The Position

Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking experienced Sr. Logistics/Data Analysts who are intimately familiar with Marine Corps logistics systems and policies. These positions will focus on supporting financial improvement & audit readiness through the implementation of accurate logistics processes, validating logistics processes and policies and the implementation of sound policies/practices that support the accurate recording and maintenance of physical equipment inventories, and leading and supporting the execution of Working Groups, Cross Functional Teams, and staff synchronization meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in supply chain management, logistics, business, accounting or finance field of study
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with U.S. Marine Corps logistics and/or financial systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on logistics and supply chain management.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required.

  • Experience supporting federal financial management, audit readiness, internal controls, remediation, or financial improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology, audit response, corrective action, remediation, and sustainment activities.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving audit findings, Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs), material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, and control deficiencies.
  • Understanding of federal financial statement audit requirements and supporting documentation standards.
  • Experience documenting and assessing business processes, risks, controls, and control objectives relating to logistics and supply chain processes
  • Ability to develop business process narratives, internal controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), assessment plans, sampling plans, test scripts, control testing documentation, and corrective action plans
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and distinguish between process, system, transaction, data, and governance issues.
  • Ability to Identify risks, evaluate controls, test effectiveness, and document results
  • Experience analyzing large financial, logistics, inventory, or property datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and reconciling financial, logistics, inventory, or property data
  • Understanding of supply, inventory, property, equipment, and logistics transactions; capability to connect operational transaction to financial reporting ability to identify and remediate invalid or incomplete transactions, duplicate records, unsupported balances, unreconciled balances, aged transactions, missing documentation, inaccurate accounting classifications, invalid organizational or material codes, gaps or errors between systems, and legacy data remediation
  • Familiarity with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Excel/VLOOKUP, Power Query, data validation, and reconciliation techniques), as well as preferred familiarity with other data analytic tools that enable more advanced logistics data analytics
  • Knowledge of federal or DoW property, supply chain, financial, inventory, or procurement, systems; preferred experience with GCSS-MC, ELMS, Navy ERP, DLA Warehouse Management System or equivalent
  • Understanding of interfaces between logistics and financial systems
  • Experience tracing transactions between logistics systems and financial statements
  • Ability to navigate financial and logistics systems and understand system interfaces
  • Ability to convert large dataset analysis into actionable findings and management information
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret audit findings or data deficiencies from identification through root-cause analysis, development of remediation strategies, remediation, validation, and closure
  • Understanding of remediation across financial management, logistics, supply, property, contracting, IT, and operational organizations
  • Ability to establish measurable remediation milestones, owners, deadlines, and evidence requirements
  • Ability to follow and understand the full scope of problems and follow through the entire operational chain to achieve remediation
