Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales, customer service or event planning experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on departmental needs and business goals.
  • Proven track record of effective time-management and organization.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivating, ability to operate efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation/public speaking skills.
  • Travel is required – 80% of work week; flexible work schedule.
  • Evening and weekend hours are frequently necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services (private banking, customer service, sales, lending, etc) preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of community strategy for all potential credit union members.
  • Independently manage a variety of business development and member acquisition projects.
  • Collaborate closely with various credit union departments to manage completion of projects, particularly Marketing and Retail Banking.
  • Represent BCU professionally to key corporate and local contacts and at a variety of business development events.
  • Support logistics for promotional and educational on-site events, targeted campaigns, and other programs.
  • Brainstorm creative promotional concepts, products, and campaigns that support relevant growth goals.
  • Coach branch staff on successful sales techniques during events.
  • Exceed goals as defined by Community Business Development Leader.
  • Other duties as assigned.
