Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line. Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience. Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements. Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle. Works with other functions to finalize product specifications. Provides advertising with core brand equity. Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues. SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education. Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects / processes. Organizational Impact: May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties . Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements. Communication and Influence: Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors. Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making. Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an MBA program (second year)
  • Ability to begin fulltime employment in July following graduation
  • Minimum of 4 years (48 months) full time work experience
  • United States work authorization is required.
  • Individuals currently possessing temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J or TN, or who may need sponsorship for US work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible. (The Medtronic LDRP does not offer employment sponsorship now or in the future)
  • A minimum of 4 years (48 months) progressively responsible professional work experience
  • Global mindset, as demonstrated by extensive travel, advanced language skills or involvement with international projects
  • The ability to manage complex projects and accomplish objectives
  • Success in leading teams (directly or indirectly) to support collaboration and deliver results
  • An interest in technology, medical devices, healthcare, or passion for bringing lifesaving technologies to people globally.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
  • Candidates must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
