About The Position

Coordinates and/or undertakes the planning, development, production, and delivery of projects as a member of the project design team or on individual projects. Assignments require independent action and decision-making, as well as the ability to supervise others. The role works under the direction of senior staff and spans all project phases, including construction administration. Travel and overtime may be required. HOK may alter or supplement the job duties and requirements at its sole discretion.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture, plus 3 to 7 years of experience, or equivalent appropriate education and experience.
LEED credential required within twelve months of employment.

Nice To Haves

A master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design may also be required.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and review planning documents according to established standards.
Work on assignments across all project phases and construction administration.
Develop, modify, and review master plan reports, construction documents, and specifications.
Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Create design concepts and express them graphically.
Compile data and perform elementary design computations.
Conduct benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects, and images.
Ensure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately.
Assist the team with construction administration document management, as needed.
Read and understand Agreements to Work within budget, schedule, work plan, and client constraints.
Mentor and direct the work of intern staff, as needed.
Promote a collaborative and innovative culture.
Foster commitment to external and internal client service.
