The successful candidate will work on the optical glass production line and be responsible for selected processing steps, focusing on glass fabrication and characterization using OptiGrate’s proprietary technology. This position involves operating high-temperature furnaces, preparing them for melt operations, contributing to process recipe development using computer control software, and performing glass characterization following in-house procedures. The open position also involves partial analysis of glass melting process parameters, glass slice analysis and evaluation with interferometric techniques and substrate wafer mapping; preparation and processing of samples for PTR glass photosensitivity measurements; analytical equipment calibration and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Technical education or training
  • Ability to execute and document manufacturing processes
  • Familiar with MS Office tools
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Maintains consistency in performance and follows established procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in materials processing applying thermal treatment is preferable
  • Experience in programming a computer-controlled instrumentation is a plus
  • Experience working with grinding and polishing machines using interferometric measurements feedback
