We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer who thrives in building scalable, cloud-native applications and solving complex engineering challenges. You will own the design, development, and delivery of robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Operating strictly on-site in Miami, you will be a key player in our engineering team, bringing deep technical expertise and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate development and ensure technical excellence. This is a hands-on execution role. You are responsible for the technical health of the codebase, the performance of the architecture, and delivering high-quality software that scales.

Requirements

5+ years in software engineering with a proven track record of building and scaling backend systems.
Deep, hands-on mastery of Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem. You must be able to write highly optimized code and conduct deep architectural reviews.
Solid, demonstrable experience delivering solutions on AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, RDS).
Knowledge and practical experience using AI tools within the development workflow to enhance productivity and code quality.
Must be located in Miami, FL and available to work on-site.

Nice To Haves

Solid experience in Microservices and API-first design.
Exposure to modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Deep knowledge of both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will own your code from design to production.
Architect, deploy, and optimize high-performance microservices and cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS.
Integrate and utilize modern AI tools (such as coding assistants or AI APIs) to optimize code quality, automate routine tasks, and accelerate the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Write clean, testable code, conduct rigorous deep-dive code reviews, and maintain high standards of engineering excellence and performance.
Proactively identify technical debt, make pragmatic trade-offs between velocity and scalability, and ensure seamless delivery alongside cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
