About The Position

We are seeking an Island Enterprise Browser Administrator to ensure secure, reliable, and fully governed browser operations across DFW's environment. This role supports mission-critical functions—including policy management, Intune/MECM deployment, security integration, and escalation response—which are essential for maintaining compliance, service stability, and user productivity. Given the specialized expertise and immediate operational need, engaging a contractor is the most effective solution, consistent with our business structure and precedent for roles requiring focused technical delivery within a defined time frame. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise browser management, Microsoft Intune/MECM deployment, security integration, and enterprise endpoint management.

Requirements

  • Experience administering and maintaining the Island Enterprise Browser console.
  • Experience configuring and managing Island Enterprise Browser policies and configuration baselines.
  • Experience administering Island Enterprise Browser RBAC and environment segmentation.
  • Experience implementing Island Enterprise Browser security controls, including DLP restrictions, certificates, site isolation, permissions, extension governance, upload/download controls, watermarking, clipboard restrictions, and file isolation.
  • Experience deploying and managing Island Enterprise Browser using Microsoft Intune and/or Microsoft MECM (SCCM).
  • Experience packaging, deploying, and maintaining browser installations, updates, and extensions using IntuneWin, MSI, or EXE deployment methods.
  • Experience working as an L2/L3 escalation point for Island browser-related incidents, including policy failures, extension issues, installation errors, configuration issues, and performance problems.
  • Experience integrating Island Enterprise Browser with enterprise security and identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Experience administering enterprise endpoint devices, including Windows desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, within a Microsoft enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting secure, compliant enterprise browser environments in large organizations.
  • Experience working within enterprise change management processes, including phased deployments, release management, and rollback procedures.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, deployment documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Experience using PowerShell scripting to automate browser administration, deployment, or troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Endpoint Engineering, the Technology Solutions Desk, Security, and SNOW Administration teams to deliver a secure, consistent, and reliable browser experience across the organization.
  • Administer and maintain the Island Enterprise Browser console, including configuration baselines, RBAC, and environment segmentation.
  • Build, maintain, and enforce enterprise browser security policies, including DLP restrictions, upload/download controls, watermarking, clipboard restrictions, file isolation, site permissions, certificates, site isolation, and extension governance.
  • Deploy, package, configure, and maintain Island Enterprise Browser installations, updates, and sanctioned extensions using Microsoft Intune and/or Microsoft MECM (SCCM).
  • Serve as the primary L2/L3 escalation point for Island browser-related incidents, including policy failures, extension issues, installation errors, configuration issues, and performance problems.
  • Integrate Island Enterprise Browser with enterprise security and identity platforms to support secure access and policy enforcement.
  • Work in a complex endpoint environment, including cross-platform support, cloud integrations, mobile device management, and advanced security requirements.
  • Handle day-to-day administration while contributing to long-term endpoint strategy and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in major incident response, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and coordinate issue resolution with engineering, security, support, and vendor teams.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, deployment guides, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Produce operational reports and dashboards related to browser adoption, compliance, deployment status, extension health, performance, and incident trends.
  • Directly support business continuity, cybersecurity resilience, and workforce productivity.
  • Help close critical gaps in device management, ensure enterprise-wide policy enforcement, and support the organization's long-term digital transformation goals.
  • Oversee a variety of endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other endpoints, to ensure their reliability, security, and performance.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint management solutions, resolve complex technical issues, and provide leadership in endpoint management practices.
  • Oversee and manage project and operational efforts regarding installations, configurations, monitoring, tuning, operating systems, and application software.
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, and technical documentation related to areas of responsibility.
