About The Position

Support investment data governance and operational controls across accounting systems. Maintain accurate security master data, perform complex reconciliations, resolve data issues and partner across teams to ensure reliable accounting, reporting and regulatory compliance.

  • This role will be subject to a SEC compliance program, which can include monitoring personal securities transactions, restrictions on outside business activities, as well as other oversight and restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience in investment operations, investment accounting or similar field Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in PAM® for Investments (PFI) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of new security master files and new purchase yields; work with the external managers to explain and resolve.
  • Oversee security master file setup and maintenance, ensuring completeness, accuracy and alignment with data governance standards.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve complex discrepancies in security master data, income accrual and amortization/accretion schedules; escalate unresolved issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with resolution of reconciliation exceptions by collaborating with internal teams such as accounting, reporting, technology, policy and portfolio management.
  • Research and collaborate with internal and external partners on specific accounting and reporting guidance (e.g., Principal Based Bonds).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) of primary investment data (e.g., payment structure, NAIC reporting categories) and PAM® for Investments (PFI) functionality (e.g., SMF field downstream impacts, report design, asset type – specific functions).
  • Maintain knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, industry developments and operational workflows impacting insurance company portfolios.
  • Take a lead role in user acceptance testing (UAT) for PFI system enhancements, data feeds and reconciliation tools.
  • Document and review procedures and training aides for operational continuity and team development.
  • Assist in preparing internal reports or summaries on reconciliation status, trends and recurring issues for team leads or management.
