About The Position

The Sr. Inventory Analyst is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, control, and movement across the warehouse or distribution network. This role ensures optimal stock levels, leads inventory orders, supports operational efficiency, and partners with supply chain, purchasing, and operations teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing and finance teams is paramount to achieving these sales and service objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–7 years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain analytics, or distribution/logistics environments.
  • Experience managing inventory levels across multiple distribution centers, including replenishment planning and stock optimization.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management metrics such as inventory turns (ITO), months on hand (MOH), and service level / fill rate.
  • Experience working with ERP or planning systems and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Planning, Logistics, and Distribution Center teams to manage inventory availability and mitigate supply risks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory planning tools or BI platforms (e.g., Jedox, Power BI, Tableau).
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or experience in manufacturing / distribution environments.

Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring and analyzing inventory levels across distribution centers with focus on demand in place from all manufacturing facilities and correspondingly placing orders to replenish stock. Proactively work on avoiding stock outs based on forecast & actual run rates. - Define and maintain inventory levels (min/max SKU/DC) periodically together with planning department. Manage inventory aging and assist with life cycle model.
  • Assist with supply models (DC, Hub &Spoke, 9 box), define replenish sourcing rules, define sub regions, maintain necessary replenish data.
  • Evaluate and mitigate against any supply risk at a category / SKU-level, ensuring levels of stock are sufficient to ensure team members receive top quality products on time (i.e. set 9-box, set target inventory, manage/ own MOH, ITO, Fill rate)
  • Apply strategic forecast & data analytic methods, ensuring availability of essential inventory required to meet customer order expectations. Maintain agreed SLA with Sales Team, manage IHR ensuring target MOH supply availability in DCs
  • Develop mitigation plans and remain proactive with potential inventory shortages in collaboration with Sales team.
  • Full Accountability on managing DC inventory levels, ITO, MOH, inventory movements
  • Manage on an ad hoc basis interprovincial/state transfers of goods to avoid out of stocks and replacing inventory once available.
  • Proofing and amending order quantities to ensure best possible freight rates using internal Logistics Order Model
  • Make necessary inventory movements in “frozen period” into Jedox and instruct Distribution Center Managers to execute movements in M0.
  • Uphold required knowledge of the supply market, industry, and business environment trends to help identify opportunities to Provide support and backup for Forecasting as needed
