This is a customer-facing Sr. Instrumentation Technician role supporting industrial automation environments.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, controls, instrumentation, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with motion control systems and electrical control panel design
  • Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and commissioning automated manufacturing or process control systems in industrial environments
  • Proven ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair complex instrumentation systems
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot live systems in operational environments

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting water or wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred
  • Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment/systems in industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, industrial networks and ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and general engineering documents/drawings
  • Industrial automation and systems integration
  • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Drives, servos, and motion control systems
  • DCS and industrial control systems
  • Industrial robotics including Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots, and Yaskawa/Motoman
  • Engineering Documentation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems for industrial automation applications including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networks
  • Create and sustain automation and control system architectures
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and system owners to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems
  • Analyze system requirements for industrial automated manufacturing control systems
