NDT Inspector. Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties: What you will be responsible for: Process daily incoming and outgoing material to meet Quality Control requirements as stated in the AAR ISO 9000 Procedures Manual and Customer Requirements Manual. Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer and company policies and procedures. Assist the Director of Quality Control in reviewing and updating departmental standards. Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination. Interface with suppliers/product line in disposition rejects. Perform NDT inspections in compliance with customer work instructions, and AAR procedures and policies. Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures. Responsible for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components. Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s) as used by the employer. Shall be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff. Selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection. Preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions. Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy. All other duties as assigned.
