About The Position

The Senior Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving qualified pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects in scientific and technical markets. This role combines sales development expertise with technical product knowledge, ensuring prospects understand the value of complex solutions. As a senior team member, you will mentor junior Inside Sales Representatives, work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads, collaborate with marketing to execute demand generation campaigns, and provide feedback to product teams based on customer insights. Beyond execution, this position is strategic in nature, requiring independent judgment, proactive decision-making, and the ability to shape sales approaches that align with organizational goals. You will be expected to anticipate market trends, prioritize opportunities, and contribute to long-term growth strategies while maintaining a high level of autonomy in daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation goals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a scientific instrumentation, biotech, or advanced manufacturing environment (e.g., RheoSense or similar).
  • Familiarity with technical products and ability to conduct product demonstrations or technical discussions.
  • Background in collaborating with marketing teams on demand generation campaigns.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a sales development team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research target accounts in scientific, engineering, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Execute multi‑channel outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events) to engage prospects.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand technical needs and qualify leads.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
  • Partner with marketing to design campaigns tailored to technical audiences.
  • Contribute to content creation (emails, case studies, webinars) that highlight product capabilities.
  • Provide market feedback to product and marketing teams based on prospect interactions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads.
  • Assist in account planning and territory development strategies.
  • Provide pre‑call research and prospect intelligence to support sales efforts.
  • Mentor junior Inside Sales Representatives to improve performance, productivity, and technical communication skills.
  • Share insights on communicating complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Help refine playbooks for technical prospecting and demand generation.
  • Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.
