Sr Informatics Spec - Rev Cycle
About The Position
The Senior Revenue Cycle Informatics Specialist works to improve revenue cycle efficiency and automation and maximize the use of the current revenue cycle technology toolkit. The role requires understanding the capabilities and general application of Epic functionality, including revenue cycle, supporting clinical functions, and bolt-on applications. The specialist keeps current on Epic revenue cycle capabilities and supports acquisition and integration activities. The specialist recommends technology enhancements and optimizations to improve the revenue cycle and help Piedmont Healthcare operate according to best practices and industry benchmarks while meeting accounts receivable performance goals and productivity expectations. The role also improves and implements internal controls across the revenue cycle technology footprint and works with IT on interface and system issues to improve data flow. The specialist plans, executes, and monitors implementation of technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions specific to Revenue Cycle. Responsibilities include evaluating client needs, developing configurations that support business processes, providing training and end-user support during and after implementation, and scoping projects or developing requirements documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Health Information Systems, Informatics, Healthcare Management, or a closely related field; alternatively, six years of relevant work experience may substitute for the degree in addition to the experience requirement.
- At least three years of work experience in revenue cycle, informatics, healthcare technology, or a closely related field.
- Alternatively, nine years of experience in revenue cycle, informatics, healthcare technology, or a closely related field in lieu of the degree.
Nice To Haves
- Epic certification in a Clinical or Revenue Cycle application.
Responsibilities
